About Etraveli Technology

We work in modern premises in central Gothenburg and Athens and we feel at home here! In the mornings there is breakfast in the kitchen and excellent coffee.

At lunchtimes there is always a crowd in the kitchen, we chill in the gaming area or rest our brains on the sofa plus a bit of old school arcade. It is such a fun place that our friends drop by after work and our colleagues from other offices often come by to say hello.
We are currently around 75 people Gothenburg and 35 in Athens working in development and operations, all with different key skills and personalities. We think that it is precisely these differences that make us work well as a team, while the ambition is the same – we are all striving to reach the same goal, we are excited about what we do and we work hard at a high tempo. We actively work to promote a DevOps culture and we achieve this by working together with different departments over geographical distances.
We are a happy and open bunch who enjoy our work, produce well-written code and solve problems together. We work using Agile principles in small, self-managing teams and have tight release cycles. Some of our teams use Kanban and others agile processes, but the thing we have in common is that we all work with test-driven development. Every once and a while we have  Hacker’s Fridays where we work freely with both mad and really good ideas, we also have concepts like Hackatons and dev-weeks from time to time.
In an ever-changing environment we always have to dare to think in new ways and challenge everything from the process to the technology. This can relate to anything from automation and quickly changing technology to carrying out ongoing code refactoring. Other departments put a large amount of trust in us, which allows us to implement our own initiatives and ideas while still working towards clear goals in close cooperation with our stakeholders. We change, improve and integrate operations and development on a daily basis.

Etraveli Group is growing year by year, and if we want to stay at the leading edge it is crucial to continue to strive for improvement. For us that means a sharp focus on new skills and the right coworkers – two things that we believe are key to our continued progress at the right pace. Our vision is to create the world’s most competitive online travel agency. While doing so, we should have fun, learn a lot and focus on the latest technologies.
